As many of you know, the group has been on tour for the past 10 days to promote our newest album release Kanata, as well as to promote our January release Dear Charlie. The tour has been going very well. We've had good turnouts and the audiences seem to really enjoy our music.
Sales for the new album have been strong at all of our concerts.
This coming week is perhaps our strongest week of the tour. For one, we just played at Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn NY. This is a well-known venue that hosts a lot of different types of music, and a lot of international-level groups. Secondly, this Friday & Saturday we will be performing at the Velvet Note in Atlanta GA. On Friday we will be joined by saxophonist Braxton Cook, who made a name for himself performing with Christian Scott. On Saturday we will be joined by trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis, who is considered to be one of the top jazz trombonists in the world. It's going to be quite the weekend and we are very much looking forward to these concerts.
The best part about the concerts on Friday & Saturday is that they will be live-streamed! That's right, even if you can't make it to Atlanta to see us in person, you can watch from the comfort of your own home. Tune in Friday or Saturday @ 7:30pm EST to see us perform one of the most riveting concerts of our careers! The video will be embedded onto our website (www.bs-bees.com)
Finally, many people have been emailing me about a particular show in Joe's hometown of Haliburton, Ontario. Seems that the town is quite excited that we are coming. Tickets are available for pre-purchase at (www.bs-bees.com/store). People purchasing tickets will also receive a $5 merch voucher for redemption at the concert.
That's it, that's all, thanks for listening, and keep on swinging!
